Marigolds are both beautiful and very easily maintained. The large, ruffled blooms typically open up to a diameter of 2 - 3 inches wide, and come in shades of orange, red and yellow. Marigold flowers can be deadheaded to allow fresh flowers to form throughout the Summer months.
Typically categorized as an annual flowering plant, the Marigold will grow quickly from freshly harvested seeds. They will die with the first killing frost, but readily self seed for successful growth in the following Spring season.
